Our Nocellara olives are cured using a natural fermentation process; leaving a crisp olive full of natural flavors. The process demands patience as it takes 9 to 12 months. The Nocellara olive, native to Sicily, was one of the many Italian varieties that Morgenster imported in the early ’90’s. These delicious olives can also be pressed to make a wonderful Olive Oil.

Serve them on their own as a snack with an aperitif. These “sweet” olives are a wonderful match in chicken casseroles, olive bread, and slow-cooked squid and tomato dishes. A great addition to any salad together with Morgenster Extra Virgin Olive Oil. For something different serve them warmed with pickled lemon and fennel – absolutely delicious. Kosher certified.
